CHAIRPERSON
KEY OBJECTIVE Facilitate and encourage positive, effective and efficient decision making processes based on sound information, clear judgment and as the leader motivate the Board, staff and operational volunteers to maintain a positive, modern, forward-thinking, planned approach to the growth and development of the organisation, through the implementation of modern governance, modern processes and updated policies and procedures.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • High standard of effective people management, oral communication and interpersonal skills and knowledge of human resource management requirements.
  • Experience and/or proven ability to fill a leadership role in a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organisation, including a good understanding of financial statements, administration needs and the ability to speak in public.
  • Knowledge of modern governance and management practices.

VICE CHAIR (Events)
KEY OBJECTIVE Facilitate and lead the ongoing development of event management and volunteer systems required to support a successful event and deliver clubs services.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Project, Team and /or Event Planning Skills
  • Skills/experience and understanding of modern volunteer management
  • High standard of people management, oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Event system, standards and Event Administration oversight
  • Event HR system/standards (volunteer management, recruit, support)
  • Event Management Policy/Procedure oversight
  • Oversee portfolio budget expenditure

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
KEY OBJECTIVE Support Board to modernise, develop and improve communication and oversee the administration standards and modern and efficient, marketing, communication and technology use.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Good organisational, administration, record keeping skills
  • High standard of competency and/or understanding of modern technology and its uses
  • High standard of effective people management, oral communication and written skills

FINANCE DIRECTOR
KEY OBJECTIVE To assist the Board maintain high standards of financial management and administration practise, record keeping, policy implementation, accountability and compliancy.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • High level of knowledge and experience utilising accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks
  • Qualifications and / or knowledge and experience in financial management.
  • Ability to provide and present regular financial statements to the board and
  • Ability to prepare and report on budgets including future forecasts.
  • Ability to provide relevant financial information and make decisions on the allocation of the financial resources in negotiation with the Board
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY  
  • Incorporation Act’s financial requirements/standards are discharged
  • Financial, budget, accountability, compliance and controls systems oversight
  • Reporting of financial status (profit/loss, cash budget comparisons)
  • Financial Policy /Procedure oversight

FOOTBALL DIRECTOR
KEY OBJECTIVE Facilitate and lead the ongoing development of the football systems and oversee the development and delivery of players, coaches, umpires pathways and the sports delivery standards.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • High level of experience and understanding of Junior and Senior Football management and delivery needs
  • High standard of effective project management, people management, oral communication and interpersonal skills
